Liverpool Trip Footnotes

Following the trip to Liverpool, I needed to produce a piece of writing exploring the use of footnotes. Below is my piece:

The trip to Liverpool started when we arrived at Hatters Hostel (1). Then we went to the Old Blind School, which was a building that offered so much inspiration for me, not only through the art it was exhibiting, but also through the appearance and character of the building itself (2). Artists that particularly interested me were the artist Christina Ramberg and Marc Bauer. Ramberg’s style of painting as seen in her piece ‘Torso with Pants’ (3) interested me because I am currently studying painting. However I was also drawn to the detail in Bauer’s intense tonal drawings (4) that I would like to explore in the drawing rotation.

The following day, we visited the Tate Modern and the Walker Gallery.
That evening my roomates from the hostel decided to celebrate the last night in Liverpool with a meal out. After getting lost, we managed to find an adorable Italian restaurant where I tried Gnochi (5) for the first time. This was the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited and certainly a highlight of the trip.

The last day was spent at the Q and A session but was dominated by the exhausting 5 hour coach journey home. However, watching American Pie (6) made the trip bearable.
