Plaster and Plastic Experiments

These are just some of my plaster and plastic experiments from the workshop. The two pieces top left are formed from moulding plaster in the plastic cast on the following image, however due to the distortion of the plastic the plaster cracked into two separate pieces when removing. Despite this I still find the texture of the pieces interesting, with the indents in the plastic mould being emphasized by the smooth appearance of the plaster, creating the an almost water droplet appearance.

In order to continue with the idea of re-using waste material, I kept the lids of the bottles I melted and created sculptures from these, so that none of the material I sourced was wasted. It was also important for me to use plaster that had already been mixed but no longer had use, which worked well in a group, meaning that al of the materials I sourced were reused.
