Container

Following my research into Klari Reis' petri dish art I created my own series of petri dish containers. In these pieces I used marbling ink to create fluid circular shapes that reflect the nature of the container and its practical, scientific use, of examining objects such as bacteria. The tragic beauty of these pieces is that they can only be preserved through photography, as the marbling inks used are not permanent and washed away.
